Elmhurst Mayor Scott Levin on Tuesday contrasted the political environments in Springfield and Elmhurst. (David Giuliani/Patch)ELMHURST, IL – Elmhurst Mayor Scott Levin, who attended the state legislature's inauguration last week, said Tuesday he was struck by the differences between Springfield and Elmhurst. "It was a very interesting experience to see the inauguration," Levin told the Elmhurst City Council. "I was also very proud to see that we operate in such a nonpartisan, collaborative way. There was quite a bit of partisanship on display (in Springfield).
